Insurance & Payment
How insurance works at our office.
Clear answers before treatment, to help you work with your insurance company and avoid surprises.

How it works
From pre-determination to reimbursement.
Before treatment
For major treatment, or anything you'd like confirmed first, we send your insurer a pre-determination, so you know what's covered before you decide.
At your visit
Payment is due at the time of treatment. We submit your claim to your insurer electronically.
After your visit
Your insurer usually reimburses you within 24 to 48 hours.
Payment
Simple, and on your terms.
Interest-free payment plans
Designed to help you receive the care you need. Ask our team about setting one up.
Every form of payment
We accept all forms of payment.
Two insurance plans?
We submit to both. If your secondary insurer asks you to send that claim yourself, our team will let you know.
Common questions
Insurance and payment questions.
What does "non-assignment" mean?+
Payment is due at the time of treatment, and your insurer reimburses you directly. We submit the claim for you electronically, and reimbursement usually arrives within 24 to 48 hours.
What is a pre-determination?+
It's a request we send to your insurer before treatment, asking what your plan will cover. We send one for any major treatment, and for any treatment you'd like confirmed with your insurer first.
What should I bring to my first visit?+
Your insurance information, if applicable, so we can submit claims for you from your first appointment.
Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?+
Yes. We accept patients covered by the CDCP. Call our office at 416-927-0088 and we can explain how your coverage works.
